Our Story
From a dream of authentic Mediterranean food to a hidden gem in Klostergården, just a 5-minute walk from Lund Central Station.
Food Made From the Heart
Casa Antonio started with a simple idea: Lund deserves a place where you can enjoy truly great Mediterranean food without boarding a plane. Nothing pretentious. Nothing over-complicated. Just honest food made with real ingredients, served in a warm and relaxed setting.
What sets us apart is that we never cut corners. We bake pizza in true Neapolitan style — hand-stretched, soft thin centre, puffy lightly charred cornicione. Every dough rests for at least 48 hours before being hand-shaped and baked in our stone oven at 400°C in 60–90 seconds. We order our mozzarella from the same dairy in Campania, week after week. Our San Marzano tomatoes are D.O.P.-certified — and you can taste the difference in every bite.
But we never stopped at Italian. With roots stretching across the Mediterranean, we weave in the generosity of Spanish cuisine — tapas like Patatas Bravas, Gambas al Ajillo, and charcuterie boards with Serrano ham. The result is a menu that makes you feel at home, no matter which coast you're dreaming of.
What We Believe In
Three values that guide everything we do — from sourcing to serving.
Tradition
Neapolitan pizza, baked in a stone oven — the heart of our kitchen since 2001. The method is ancient, the result timeless. We bake pizza the same way they do in Naples, because it simply tastes the best.
Quality
D.O.P.-certified Mozzarella di Bufala. San Marzano tomatoes. Parmigiano Reggiano aged at least 24 months. We always choose the better option, even when it costs more.
Community
Food tastes best when it's shared. That's why we have sharing platters, a menu that suits the whole family, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay just a little longer.
Our Kitchen — Neapolitan Stone-Oven Tradition
The heart of Casa Antonio is the stone oven. It reaches around 400°C, and every Neapolitan pizza bakes in 60–90 seconds. The result is a base that's soft in the middle, with a puffy lightly charred edge (cornicione) and a subtle smoky character you won't find anywhere else in Lund.
Our ingredients are imported directly from Italy. Mozzarella fior di latte, Stracciatella di Burrata, truffle salami from Umbria, and olives from Sicily. The rest comes from local Swedish producers. The beef for our burgers is Swedish. We bake our bread fresh every day.
The kitchen runs on genuine curiosity. The menu is always evolving, but the philosophy stays the same: the best ingredients, the simplest preparation, the most flavour. You'll notice it from the very first bite.
